Hello Families,
December came and went in a flash! Although it was a short month, we packed in plenty of excitement. We experienced our first snow day, enjoyed a wonderful PTA movie night, and watched Ms. Stamatelos and the chorus put on a fantastic concert. The Green 15 attendance challenge wrapped up with grade 4 taking the top spot—congratulations! I hope everyone had a restful and joyful break with family and friends. We’re so happy to welcome everyone back and kick off the new year together.
Looking Ahead: January
January is a busy time for both students and teachers as we begin our mid-year assessments. These important checks help us see how much students have learned and where we can continue to support them. Here’s what to expect:
Reading Growth Assessments: All students will complete a reading assessment to track their progress (Dibels).
iReady Assessments: Students in grades K-2 will take the mid-year iReady tests.
NH SAS Assessments: Students in grades 3-4 will take the mid-year New Hampshire SAS reading and math assessments.
ACCESS Testing: At the end of the month, our English Language Learner students will begin ACCESS testing, which will continue into February.
We ask that families help students do their best by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and attend school every day they are healthy. Your support makes a huge difference!
Please note: There is no school on January 19, 2026.
Winter Reminders
Dress for the Weather: Please send students to school with winter-appropriate clothing. Recess will be outdoors unless the temperature is below 20 degrees. Students need boots, snow pants, jackets, hats, and gloves or mittens to play in the snow. Without full snow gear, students will need to stay on the blacktop.
School Closings: The district will notify families of any weather-related delays or cancellations.
Car Patrol Safety:
Students must remain seated in their cars until dropped off at the designated car patrol locations (back or side of the building). Grade level does not matter—students may be dropped off at either location for a quicker, smoother process.
Do not drop students off on Goffe’s Falls Road or allow them to walk onto school grounds from there.
At the side car patrol area, only let students exit when you’re stopped at one of the five marked cones.
Do not pass stopped cars.
Proceed in a single file line.
Our staff will be present to assist and ensure everyone’s safety. Please drive slowly, follow staff instructions, and help us keep all students safe.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. If you have any questions, please reach out. Let’s make it a fantastic start to 2026!
