Hello Highland-Goffe’s Falls Families,
It’s hard to believe November is already here! This month is filled with holidays, conferences, and exciting new activities. As we look back on October, our school community has so much to celebrate.
School Highlights:
As we reflect on October, our school community has so much to be proud of. One of our shining moments was seeing Madalyn Hussey’s artwork chosen for the 2026 Casella Student Awards Calendar—a remarkable achievement, especially considering there were 2,673 entries. With guidance from our talented art teacher, Mrs. Chandonnet, our students poured creativity into their submissions, and Madalyn’s hard work truly stood out. Congratulations to both Madalyn and Mrs. Chandonnet for representing our school so well!
This month’s PAWS assembly was another highlight, where we recognized students who acted safely throughout the building and celebrated our Red Lantern Award recipients for their perseverance. We were especially excited to honor Mrs. Desrosier’s fourth grade class, who earned our attendance award by maintaining an incredible 99.2% attendance rate for the month. What a fantastic accomplishment!
October also brought a wonderful Halloween celebration, thanks to our dedicated PTA. The event was filled with fun, laughter, and a true sense of community. We are so grateful to all the families who joined in and to our PTA volunteers, whose efforts made the celebration so memorable.
Our community spirit shone brightly with the creative scarecrows displayed around the school, thanks to Mrs. Devanna and the many families who participated in this delightful activity.
And let’s not forget to congratulate Mr. Ray, our P.E. teacher, for achieving his 100th win as Central’s Head Football Coach—a testament to his dedication and leadership.
Beyond these big moments, there are countless daily achievements happening in every classroom. Our fourth grade team is helping students master their multiplication facts, first graders are practicing new vocabulary and honing their thinking skills, and our kindergarteners are learning to reflect on their progress. Every day, our teachers and staff work tirelessly to support all students as they gain new skills and grow together. We are so grateful for the energy and enthusiasm that fills our school!
